Every week, in the UK there is a mine collapse. These are typically closed or abandoned, capped with wood, backfilled with mine waste, rubble and soil. This degrades over time destabilising the area until the collapse happens. With over 175,000 mine entries across the UK where these are near infrastructure like rail, buildings etc early detection can be critical

Findlay Irvine have created a system to detect the early stages of mine entry collapse using dual axis inclinometer sensors and a sophisticated reporting / alarm system
